Northern Utah is a unique place to have a photoshoot as it offers such a large variety of backdrops. From the stunning canyons to our unique downtown, you are sure to find something that will fit the vision you have for your photo session. Below you will find five of my favorite spots to shoot at in the Salt Lake area.
Neff's Canyon
Whether snowy, filled with fall colors or just starting to bloom in the spring, Neff's Canyon provides a beautiful backdrop for your family photos in Salt Lake all year round. This stunning mountain scene, with it's beautiful trees and overlook of the city, is a client favorite.
Exchange Place
Located in Downtown Salt Lake, Exchange Place is perfect if you prefer the urban look for your photo session. It provides a large variety of brick, stairs and some funky murals.
Lake Blanche Trail
Located up breathtaking Big Cottonwood Canyon, the Lake Blanche Trail provides some of the best of what Utah has to offer for photo session backdrops. Aside from the picturesque mountain panorama, a small river runs along the tree encompassed trail.
Memory Grove
If you live in the Salt Lake area, chances are you have visited the gorgeous Memory Grove area. With its ever-popular bridge, quaint pond and beautiful trails, you can't go wrong with picking this location for your family photos.
Utah State Capitol
People come from far and wide to witness the beauty that is Utah's State Capitol building. A walking trail that circles the building is lined with Yoshino cherry trees that are splendid all year. You can't beat the view of the city you get here, and the elegant architecture of the building itself offers a unique and timeless setting for your session.
